Living here in our area for over 20 years, I’ve seen the benefits of working with the community.
After arriving in Australia as an international student, I quickly fell in love with Merri-bek and decided to make it my home, working in Information Technology and retail management.
Along with my family, I have a passion for making a difference. I have worked with the Glenroy Neighbourhood Learning Centre and Hope Centre Glenroy and have been involved in many local events.
My vision is to work with you so that we can enjoy a vibrant community across Glenroy, Oak Park, Gowanbrae, and afar.
Your family deserves reliable local services. I will fight for increased funding for childcare, maternal health services and quality aged care.
I oppose the proposed two-hour parking restrictions in residential areas and will work to ensure fair access to parking for all families and residents.
We need affordable housing, but must also balance the respects of our community. Working for the better of people, and not the pockets of property developers.
Improved lighting, state of the art CCTV (security cameras) with the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features should be implemented where needed. I will also support programs aimed at curbing family violence.
I stand against unreasonable hikes in rates and will advocate for relief measures to help those struggling financially.
I’m committed to advocating for improved public transport, well-maintained footpaths, ample parking, and safer crossings throughout Merri-bek.
Whether you’re walking, cycling, driving, or using public transport, everyone deserves to feel secure and supported on our roads.
I will introduce new grants, local job programs and initiatives to help small businesses embrace technology.
I will advocate for community groups by making facilities more affordable and accessible.
Sporting clubs keep us active and healthy. I’ll support local sporting groups with improved sports facilities and infrastructure.
I aim to reduce litter and dumped rubbish in our neighbourhoods.
Merri-bek deserves to be clean and litter free.
Enhancing our parks, creeks and delivering more green open spaces, will benefit not just local habitat but also the families and visitors that enjoy these natural surroundings for their mental health and wellbeing.
The voting areas have changed due to the single-ward system.
