The 2024 Merri-bek City Council elections will be run by postal vote.

Postal ballots will be mailed out from 7 October 2024 by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC). 

Your 2024 Merri-bek city council election postal ballot must be posted or dropped off at the election office before 6 pm on Friday 25 October 2024.

Before 10 September 2024, Call 03 8620 1314 to register for a larger sized print or braile ballot pack.

Yes, at a local election office. The location will be confirmed around 9 September by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC).

You can redirect the location of your postal ballot with the VEC redirect form.

Alternatively, you can also vote in-person at a local election office.

As the roll has closed already, you’ll need to vote for your previous address to avoid a fine from the Victorian Electoral Commission.

We will share the how to vote information closer to the voting date. You may also receive this in your letter box.

Political groups and parties are exempt from junk mail signs on your letterbox. As the information is considered important to allow for your democratic vote, you’ll still receive letters, flyers or communications during the election campaign.
